Title: CPO Clarence Haley, 88, USN(Ret), Bonita/San Diego - 15 JUN 21

The family of Chief Clarence Haley, 88, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

Clarence Haley, was born on January 26th, 1933 and passed on May 17 of this year.

Clarence joined the Navy July 6, 1950 and served until December of 1979. During his 29 years of service he obtained the rank of Chief. HMC Haley served as a corpsman and an X-ray technician. Chief Haley served in both Vietnam and the Korean war.
 
After the Navy Clarence went on to work for NASSCO in their medical department. He had several hobbies including being a private pilot and a hockey fan.

Clarence is survived by four children, Debbie, Cindy, Carlynn and Gary.

The family has requested an accompaniment from Glenn Abby Mortuary to a committal service at Miramar National Cemetery, a distance of approximately 21 miles.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the chapel service to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
