The family of Peter T Sanchez has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their hero to his final resting place. We are honored to have been selected to join with the family in this journey and participating in his final Military Honors and committal ceremony.

Peter "Pete" T Sanchez, 94, was born in Los Angeles, California on April 13, 1926 and passed away on December 26, 2020.

Pete joined the United States Army on November 11, 1944. He served in WWII where is rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant, stationed at Luzon with the 149th infantry regiment, where he earned the bronze star, Asiatic Pacific Campaign, WWII Victory, Good Conduct, Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar. He was honorably discharged on April 30, 1947.
 
Following his WWII military service he worked with Construction Laborers Local 585 before retiring. He enjoyed dancing, camping and watching the Lakers, Dodgers and UCLA play games. He was a man of faith, who gave to the community and volunteered every Sunday at Sebastian & Guadalupe church.

Survived by daughters Evangeline Solis and Tommie Sanchez-Reyes, 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 51 great great grandchildren, 5 great great great grandchildren.

We are humbled and proud to join this Hero's family on this special day. The accompaniment is 1.5 miles.

There will be a Missing Man Fly Over during Military Honors

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested , and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero and his family from the Church to his final resting place. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would like to go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

IMPORTANT: Please observe all COVID 19 restrictions masks/face coverings are required while on this mission and 6 ft distancing from others, before, during and after missions.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
