The family of Jerry Martin Fleming 81, has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in Honoring their HERO.

Jerry Fleming served as a Machinist Mate Petty Officer Third Class, United States Navy, January 28, 1960 – December 30, 1963, He served Honorably on the USS Point Defiance. 

After his service to our Nation, Jerry Fleming became a Deputy Sheriff with the Inyo County Sheriff’s office where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant from 1966 to 1974. 

He eventually retired as a Maintenance Foreman from the U.S. Borax Mine in Boron, CA.

Jerry liked to hunt, fish, camp, operate his metal detector and geo cache.  He enjoyed spending time family and friends and above all Loved GOD.

He is survived by 6 children, 21 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great- Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers and 5 Sisters.

He will be missed by ALL….

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran/Law Enforcement Officer. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral home to the family home. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate.

1345 - Mission Brief

1355 - Flag Line for dignified transfer of Hero from Mortuary to family vehicle.

1415 - Kick Stands Up to Family Residence. Upon arrival at Family residence we will form a Flag Line from Family vehicle to entrance.

1430 - Dismissed.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
