The family of Miguel P. Vega, age 101, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present as their Hero receives his final honors, it will be our privilege to do so.

Miguel Vega enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 1, 1944 and served in WWII until his honorable discharge on September 1, 1945 at the rank of Private.

After the military he was always a hard worker, sometimes working 2 or 3 jobs but eventually became a licensed electrician and did that most of his life for others and for himself.  He loved fishing and walking and gardening, especially growing beautiful vegetables he would share with everyone. He also loved music and dancing. He had a special gift of healing through massage that he would use to help anyone who was in pain and needed his help.  He even made his own organic lotion. There was one man who came to him for help that had been injured and could not walk, after Miguel worked on him with his special massage techniques he was able to walk again.

Miquel's wife of nearly 60 years passed away almost 5 yrs ago, he is survived by 8 children, Mike, Daniele, Renee, Josefina, Graciela, Lupita, Ricardo and Claudia.
