!!! UPDATED !!! THIS MISSION HAS BEEN MOVED 1 HOUR EARLIER !!!

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the family of Sergeant Dominic Vaca, 43, have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his memorial we will be honored to do so.

Sergeant Dominic Vaca was shot after a pursuit of a wanted suspect in Yucca Valley, Ca. on Monday, May 31, 2021.  Heroic lifesaving efforts were conducted but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.

Sergeant Vaca also served this nation in the U.S. Army prior to becoming a Deputy Sheriff. Sergeant Vaca served the residents of San Bernardino County for 17 years.  He had elevated to the rank of Sergeant and was assigned to the Sheriff’s Station in Yucca Valley.
 
Sergeant Vaca is survived by his wife who he recently married and two children, the youngest being just 3 months old, and many other members of his family.  He is also survived by his extended family from the Sheriff’s Department as well as other friends.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, this will be a Flag Line only at the entrance of the memorial service.  Please see the time table if you would like to attend.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
