The family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one, Kevin Robert Sorrell as he makes his final journey.

It will be an honor to do so.

Kevin was in the Air Force from 1968 to 1989. His specialties included that of Airlift Aircraft Maintenance Technician, six years. Maintenance Scheduling Technician, twelve plus years, and Strategic Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, two years.

Kevin’s awards/citations were as follows: NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon w/one device, Air Force Longevity Service Award w/four devices, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Service Long Tour Ribbon w/one device, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/two devices, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/five Oak Leaf Clusters. Kevin retired as a Master Sergeant (MSgt, E-7)

After retiring from the Air Force, Kevin went to work as an Aircraft Scheduler for Norton Air Force Base from 1990 to 2005. Kevin later became an Appraiser for the County of San Bernardino, where he again retired in 2015 after serving the public for another ten years.

Kevin’s hobbies included woodworking, mainly personalized clocks for many lucky recipients. He enjoyed gardening and baking homemade pies with the fruits from the garden. He had a deep passion for motorcycles and enjoyed long rides with his close friends and his loving wife. Kevin collected all things eagles and loved a great BBQ, especially surrounded by the large family he and Bea created. Most of all, Kevin adored his grandchildren and children, never missing an award ceremony, birthday party, childhood milestone or life event.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Beatrice, daughters, Karen, Julie, and Christina, and son, Chad. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, his sister Diana and brothers, Douglas and Norman.

Kevin’s funeral services at Riverside National Cemetery on 17 June 2021 would have been his seventy-first birthday.
