The family of John David Johns, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service to his country and it will be our honor to do so.

John David Johns, 88, passed away on June 28, 2021 in Riverside, California. He was born in Alton County, Indiana on September 2, 1932 to Henry and Isabelle (Swick) Johns.

John served in the US Navy from 03/11/1952 - 03/06/1956, and reached the rank of !C3.  He served on the USS Suisun and was honorably discharged receiving the National Defense Service Medal.

After his time in the Navy John went on to become a Splicing Foreman for telecommunications until his retirement after 28 years in 1984. He enjoyed singing in a barbershop quartet, camping, traveling in the RV and fishing. He tried golf, but was not good at it.

John is survived by his 3 daughters Susan Campbell, Sherri Stern and Sandra Sullivan.  John is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
