The family of Uriel E. Macias, 50, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Uriel was born on 25 September 1970 and entered into Eternal Rest on 31 August 2021.

Uriel served in the US Navy Reserves in combat in Kabul, Afghanistan.  He was recalled to active duty in support of Operating Enduring Freedom per Presidential Order, where he augmented Army and Marine Corps troops as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.  He was honorably discharged in 2014 as an O-3 Lieutenant.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal w/Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/"M" Device, NATO ISAF Medal, Marksman Rifleman Ribbon, Sharpshooter Pistol Ribbon, and the Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal.

Uriel was a City of Azusa Councilmember at the time of his death.  He was in his fourth term on the City Council after first being elected in 2007.  He loved the City of Azusa and cared about the community.  He loved riding his Harley and taking his children on adventures and vacationing. He was very proud to have served our country and honored all the other men and women who do as well. He loved Frank Sinatra music.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Macias, his children, Cecilia and Andrew, two stepchildren, Natalie and Ethan Yniguez, his sister, Blanca Carrillo, and one brother, Charlie Wilson.
