The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family of Bryan Higuera to attend his services.  The family would be so honored if we could provide Bryan and his family the support and military honors on what will be one of the hardest days of their lives.  We are privileged to attend.

Bryan had a real desire to serve his country and took great pride in his acceptance to West Point Military Academy. His Soldier career was cut short in 2009 due to a brain injury sustained during training at West Point which resulted in his honorable medical discharge his Junior (Cow) year.

Bryan was disappointed about coming home. He wanted to serve his country, but with his short term memory loss issues he was unable to carry a weapon.  As Bryan pondered on what to do with his life now that he was not able to serve in the way his heart wanted, he took a cross country trip with another Cadet and sought adventure in every state. When Bryan returned home he was determined to make a life for himself. He secured a position in the photography department at the "Happiest Place on Earth" and there he met the love of his life, Cassidy Fay who he married in 2011. He was thrilled when Disney accelerated his career and offered him a position in their Security Department. Search dogs, IED training, bomb threats who knew that there was "soldier-like" duties that he could perform.

Bryan would be so proud to look down from above and see that his desire to continue his career as a Soldier was being honored.

Bryan is survived by his wife Cassidy Fay, father Rodney Higuera, mother Peggy Cansdale, 2 sisters Lisa Bayog and Christina Merlo, 4 brothers Mike Cansdale, Bryan Cansdale, Anthony Romo, and Pierre Romo, and brother-n-laws John Bayog and Bert Merlo.
