Memorial - Remember Our Heroes, Riverside, CA - 08 SEP 13
« on: September 06, 2013, 08:23:51 PM »
The "Mom's of Military" Organization and the surviving family members of Heroes killed in action,  have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend their 9th Annual "Remember Our Heroes" Tribute To The Fallen Memorial, at Fairmount Park, Riverside, CA and we are honored to attend.  Many of us have ridden on the Missions to honor these same Heroes, When they arrived home after being Killed in Action.

This annual event is the 9th and honors 5 Heroes that have Passed In Review.

The Families of these Fallen Heroes:

Army SGT Jose Mora
Army PFC Jesus Lopez
Marine Cpl Christopher Singer
Marine Cpl Robby Reyes
Marine Cpl Joshua Ashley

will be there as will the General Public.  We have been asked to provide the "Introduction" to the evening Memorial Celebration by arriving in a column of two's with engines roaring and flags flying!  We are honored to do so.  Additionally, 3 of our Bikes with Patriotic Themes will be placed in a position of Honor to help show the Patriotism our Organization so exemplifies and to help inspire the general public in attendance.  The Patriot Rider Song and introduction will be given about our activities prior to our arrival.  The rest of the bikes will be parked around the center stage to make the maximum visual effect, we will stage at alternate location and ride in with flags flying in a signal to the hundreds expected to attend that the final Memorial Ceremony is about to begin.  We will then stand a flag line to honor our departed Heroes during the Ceremony.

There will be live music, a food booth by the VFW, and other event related activities.   Do NOT go directly to the park.  The parking there will be extremely limited.   We must arrive together in a group. Because this is an Annual Memorial, different Heroes will be honored each year.  The organizers have been trying to get the PGR at their Ceremony for the last 8 years lets show them how Patriotic we are!

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Fallen Heroes. All are Welcome. Please see the Time Table below if you would like to participate. Times are a little longer due to the need of selecting and briefing the 3 bikes that are to be displayed and to let members wipe their bikes down prior to entry and mount flags.
