Our friends at Risher Mortuary and the surviving family members of our Hero, Ronald Larry Foster, have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to Honor our American Hero. It will be our Honor to do so.

Ronald was born 14 Feb. 1931 in Grantville, Kansas.

Ronald was inducted into the United States Army on 29 Feb. 1952 just 15 days after his 21st birthday.  Ronald received his Honorable Discharge on 12 Feb 1954 at the rank of Corporal. During his time in service he was assigned to a transportation unit in Germany, and a forward Artillery unit,  at which time he earned the Germany Occupation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Ronald was assigned to the 44th, A Battery, 3rd Armored Battalion.

Ronald was very quiet in everything he did, both in the service and in his civilian life.

Ronald is survived by his 2 sons. Because of the locations of the sons right now, they will be meeting us at Riverside National Cemetery at the gate.

Because of this information the Patriot Guard feels that this Hero should not be traveling alone. We will be his family, and we will be proud to ride along with this Hero.

Ronald should not be taking his last ride alone. We will insure that doesn't happen.....

NOTE: If anyone wants to head up a Flag Line at the gate please contact the RC and he will arrange to send you active locations as to where we are so you will know when we are close. If you do wish to form a Flag Line at the gate please make sure it is ok with cemetery personnel.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral home to the cemetery, approx 58 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

NOTE: COVID-19 restrictions apply, masks/face coverings required/6 ft distancing required

"Standing for those who stood for us"

Only 2 defining forces offered to die for you:
Jesus Christ, and the American Soldier:
One died for your soul, the other one died for your freedom.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
