The family of Jesse Stewart, WWII Veteran, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany and help give final Honors to their Hero, It will be our honor to do so.


Jesse was born in San Antonio TX 4/23/1926 and passed 6/4/16 at the age of 90.
 
Jesse proudly served in the US Navy from 1943-1945 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Seaman 1C V6 with the medals including National Defense, WWII, Asiatic Pacific, American sea and South Seas.
 
In civilian life he worked 34 yrs and retired from McDonald Douglas. LOVED Vin Scully and Dodger's baseball.
 
He loved his wife and his family, liked working in the garage and had a hobby of making windmills for the backyard.
 
In a newspaper article 9/22/44 The Flying Times noted that 7 out of 10 children were in the military at the same time. Jesse was the youngest of 10 children. The ones that were in the Military were Joe, Jesse, Raymond, Ruth, Thomas, Antonia and Richard. The article was called "Kelly's Fighting Families"


Jesse's wife Amparo passed away 26 hours prior to him. They were married 68 1/2 years. Sweethearts until the end.
 
He is survived by his children Nancy Holder, Patty Stewart Romero (Gary), Mike Stewart and Dwight Stewart (Jody), 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.


His wife Amparo Romero Stewart, was born 6/12/36 and passed 6/3/16 at the age of 80. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.


The service will be held for both husband and wife. We will accompany both coaches to RNC.


NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

The weather is predicted to be hot please stay hydrated and don't forget to eat, it can make a difference with your ability to withstand the heat.

1130 - Mission Briefing

1200 - Flag line for Dignified transfer to the coach.

1210 -  KSU and accompany to Riverside National Cemetery

1300 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, service and full Military Honors

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
