Honor Flight San Diego has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend their next event to honor our Heroes from the World War II and Korea eras. It will be our privilege to do so.
On September 30, 2018, these Heroes will be returning from an all expense paid trip to Washington DC celebrating their contributions to our freedom. This is our chance to thank these Heroes in person, shake their hands and let them know how much their service and their sacrifice has meant to all of us.
In addition to thanking and welcoming these heroes home, we have been asked to assist with maintaining a safe path of travel at the passenger concourse and baggage claim areas for the returning heroes and their guardians; each hero has a guardian as personal accompaniment for roundtrip travel to and from DC.
NOTE: DO NOT STAGE AT SPANISH LANDING PARK. See the time table below for staging information. Important assignment information will be shared at the Mission Briefing inside Terminal 2, so please arrive at the airport on time to secure the first come, first served free parking, then proceed to Terminal 2 so our numbers will be known and mission assignments can be made. NOTE: This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
