The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Arturo Collazo Hernandez and his American Legion Post 43, Hollywood. We are honored to be present as he receives his final Military Honors. American Legion Riders will accompany our hero from his funeral mass to his committal at Forest Lawn, Glendale.

Our hero was drafted shortly before the Vietnam War Era. He served his country at the DMZ in South Korea. His time in service was from Pearl Harbor Day, the 7th of December 1960 - 5th of October  1962

After his honorable discharge, he went on to Los Angeles Trade Tech and obtained an Associate's Degree in Graphic Arts. He was a manager in the Graphics Department at Fashion Press and the Hollywood Reporter.

His had an interest in ancient civilizations, particularly; the Mexica, the Mayan, the Incan, Egyptians, and Phoenicians.

He is survived by his loving wife, Delia S Hernandez, daughter, Martha, and three sons; Jorge, Arturo Jr., and Luis. Arturo is survived by siblings Alvaro Jr, Irma and Jose Luis (Che). Our hero was the proud grandpa to ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely. 

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
