The family of Petty Officer First Class Christopher Guy Griffith, age 33, and the US Navy have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero from the funeral home in Ventura to the airport as he is returned home to his family in Texas.  We will be honored to do so.

Christopher was born in Dumas, Texas, on May 6th, 1988 and passed away on February 13th, 2022, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family and friends are shocked and deeply saddened.

PO1 Griffith served as an Aviation Electronics Technician First Class Petty Officer for the United States Navy for 15 years, he was currently stationed at Point Mugu, and was a member of New Life Community Church of Oxnard.

When not spending time with his children, Christopher enjoyed working on his trucks, fishing, camping, hunting, off-roading, and spending time at the beach.

Anyone who knew Christopher knew that he was kind, passionate, devoted, and would drop whatever he was doing to help a friend in need. Christopher’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

He is survived by his spouse Summer Griffith, children Bethany and Nathan Griffith, mother Christine Hoffman and husband Herman Hoffman of Abilene, KS; sister Heather Griffith of El Dorado, KS; brother Shawn Burroughs of Colorado Springs, CO, brother Austin Burroughs of Tucson, AZ, along with many Aunts, Uncles, and Nieces. He is preceded in death by father Kenneth G Griffith who liked to call him “Critter,” grandmother Dorothy Griffith, and grandmother Beverly Swayze.
