The family of Buck Neal Polk has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for Mr. Polk's service and Military Honors, we would be honored to do so.
Buck Polk was born on Sept 11, 1928 in Texas. When he was born his Cherokee grandmother saw how long his legs were and said he looks like a Buck deer, that's how his name came about.
Buck enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 and served during WWII and was discharged in 1949 when he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, Strategic Air Command from 1950 to 1953. He then was honorably discharged from active duty and enlisted in the Texas Air National Guard from 1954 to 1967. He finally went back to the Navy as active reserve from 1968 until his retirement in 1980 at the rank of Petty Officer 2nd class.
In his civilian life Buck worked with RCA, Victor & Smith Corona in Syracuse, NY, Tran Texas Airways in Texas, and Sony Electronics in San Diego, CA. He enjoyed designing and piecing quilts and servicing sewing machines as a hobby.
Buck is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alice, 1 son Neal, 3 daughters, Denise, Elena and Anita, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
