« on: November 15, 2025, 07:52:25 PM »
UPDATE:  There is timetable and staging location change noted below.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the family of Deputy Andrew Nunez have requested the PGR be present at his memorial and we are honored to do so.

Deputy Andrew Nunez, a six-year veteran of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, was killed in the line of duty on October 27, 2025 in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.  Deputy Nunez was responding to a call for service involving a domestic dispute.  He was the first deputy to arrive to the call and encountered an armed subject who fired upon him.  Despite heroic life-saving measures, Deputy Nunez succumbed to his injuries.  Additional information may be discussed at the mission briefing.

Deputy Nunez is survived by his wife, a two-year old daughter, and their unborn child as well as additional family.  He is also survived by his extended family at the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department and law enforcement as a whole.

NOTE:  This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this hero.  For those interested, and all who wish to participate, this will be a flag line only for the family and Sheriff’s Department at the entrance to the memorial.  Please see the attached timetable below.
