The family of Vincent C. Fazio, Jr, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his military honors as he is laid to rest.  It is our privilege to fulfill their request.

Vincent is the son of a WWII veteran.  He was attending college with plans on becoming an aeronautical engineer but selflessly chose to put his education on hold and join the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He served close to three years with one tour in Vietnam in combat.  His last duty was Battery B, 3rd Battalion 73rd Arty, 4th Army.  He received the National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal w/4 BSS (each star representing a designated campaign).  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 4.

Vincent suffered from complications of Agent Orange later in life.  Through his ailments, he raised a family with three children while taking care of his elderly parents.  He continued a life of servitude with the Boy Scouts of America, the VA Hospital, the Elks Lodge and Temple City Sportsman Club, volunteering and serving thousands of hours.  He enjoyed working with model airplanes, fishing, Yo-Yo, and playing guitar.

Vincent was also a devoted Christian, again serving and helpings other by fixing anything and everything that needed fixing for church members. He also played the guitar often during church services.

Our hero is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lydia; three children, Vincent III, Stephanie, and Tara; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.  Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.  Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.  Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground.  Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
