The family of Raymond Daniel Mills (Crash) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Raymond joined the United States Air Force June 16, 1980, and proudly served until October 1, 1994.
Raymond served in the Operation Desert Shield/Storm from August 2, 1990, to October 1, 1994.
During his time in the Air Force our hero earned many awards such as. Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters. National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. USAF NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and Air Force Training Ribbon.
After his time in the Air Force, Raymond went on to work as security for one of the Casinos in Las Vegas. He also worked as a bus driver for Greyhound and then went to work for FedEx until his passing in 2026.
He loved his San Diego Padres and the San Diego/Los Angles Chargers for his entire life. He loved riding his Harley Davidson when he had it. He loved taking pictures and videos of his 3 fur babies, kitties, Tigger, Ginger and Ivan. He loved just spending time with his girlfriend of four years Kris.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, all PGR members are welcome. This Mission will be an accompaniment from Ft Rosecrans National Cemetery to the American Legion Post 149, approx.40 miles. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the American Legion Post 149, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
