UPDATE:  STAGING & TIME CHANGES

PART 2 OF 2-PART MISSION

The United States Army and the family of Juan A. Padilla, 21, have requested the Patriot Guard Riders accompany their Hero for his military honors and final resting place.  We are privileged to participate.

PV2 Juan A. Padilla was serving with 82nd Airborne, Alpha Company, 2nd BN, 501 Infantry Regiment, Ft. Liberty, NC at the time of his passing.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the church and then to the cemetery.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.  For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

TIMETABLE FOR MONDAY, 18 MARCH 2024

0930 - Mission briefing.

0945 - KSU St Joseph Catholic Church, 11901 Acacia Ave., Hawthorne, CA.   https://maps.app.goo.gl/BkFNABKURnNhgzZd9

1000 - Flag line as hero is moved from the coach to the church. 

1115 - Flag line as hero is moved to the church to the coach.

1130 - KSU and accompany for drive-by to hero’s home with brief pause, then continue to Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary.

1200 - ETA to Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary.

1215 - Flag line for transfer of hero from coach to the gravesite for military honors.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum.
