The family of Timothy Lee Jackson has requested the assistance of the Patriot Guard Riders in honoring their Hero by attending his Final Military Honors.   We will proudly accommodate that request.

Tim died at 71 years old from kidney failure and heart trouble.

Tim joined the Navy 4/25/1979, he was discharged on 8/6/1982, at a rank of SKSN.   He received the Humanitarian Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Ribbon (2 Awards).

After leaving the Navy. Timothy worked for & Retired from Ford Motor Company as a Service Writer.

During his retirement Tim worked part time at Biggs Harley Davidson in San Marcos and El Cajon Harley Davidson in the parts & service department.

Tim also worked as a counselor helping men & women with drug addiction. Tim joined AA in 1987 and he got sober on 2/20/1987.   Tim spent his 36 years in the AA & NA program helping, guiding, and supporting men & women in their recovery.

One of Tim's first loves was working on and riding his Harley. You almost never saw Tim without his bike.   Tim joined the Pioneers Clean and Sober Motorcycle Club in 2009. Tim was a retired member at his time of death.

Our hero is survived by his wife Ginny Jackson, & one son, one daughter, & one stepdaughter and 8 grandchildren.

The family is asking for the PGR to provide Military Honors. (the Navy will not be there). We will fold the flag & present it to the family.  We will also play taps and recite a Navy poem, followed by a prayer.

Biggs Harley & Patron Harley had a celebration of life for Tim last week. Were told there were more than 500 motorcycles at that event. Tim had many friends.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero.  For those interested, all PGR members are welcome, please see the timetable if you would like to participate.
