The United States Navy and the family of Christopher J. Chambers, 37, SO1 Navy Special Warfare Operator, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present as he is given full military honors.

Navy SEAL Christopher J. Chambers was one of two SEALS who went missing while conducting a nighttime raid on a dhow boat carrying illicit weapons to Yemen in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Somalia.  Loaded down with body armor, weapons, and heavy equipment, Chambers attempted to board the dhow and slipped, falling into the gap created by the high waves between the vessel and the SEALs’ combatant craft.  A second Navy SEAL, Nathan Gage Ingram, 27, was also lost at sea and both later declared dead after an intensive 10-day search.

“Chris and Gage selflessly served their country with unwavering professionalism and exceptional capabilities,” said Capt. Blake Chaney, commander of the Naval Special Warfare Group that oversees SEAL Team 3.”
