The family of Carl Hill, 70, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their hero on his final journey and attend his military honors. It is our privilege to fulfill their request.
Carl served with the United States Navy from 12/1975 to 03/1995. He served in the Gulf War. He retired at the rank of Gunner’s Mate, 1st Class. He was awarded the Sea Service Ribbon w/2 Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Battle (E) Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal.
His faith as a Catholic was the cornerstone of his life. He was an accomplished professional bowler in his earlier years. He had a love for the outdoors evident by his enthusiasm for fishing and Quick Drawn competitions, earning him the title of “Gun Slinger.” Carl also enjoyed trips to the casino, relishing the challenge of black jack and the excitement of playing slots.
Carl's life was rich with the love of his family. He was a dedicated husband to his wife of over four decades, Corazon T. Hill, whom he married on August 20, 1983. Together, they nurtured a family that became Carl's pride and joy. He will be missed by his wife, five children and sixteen grandchildren. He also leaves behind three sisters, one aunt, and three uncles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by four brothers and his parents.
