The family of Richard Lee Dixon has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Richard was born on 22 June 1933 and entered into Eternal Rest on 30 October 2019.

Richard served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1954. He was trained as an Aviation Machinist Mate.

His main duty assignment was at Pt Mugu NAS. Richard also spent nine months overseas, and earned the National Defense Service Medal. At the time of his discharge, Richard achieved the rank of Petty Officer Third Class.

After serving in the Navy, Richard worked in both the electronics and mechanical engineering fields for several employers and airlines, until he opened his own motorcycle shop, Allied Cycle Sales in Newhall, CA. He closed his shop after 8 years and went to work for Dick Allen Yamaha-Honda, which he managed for 15 years. Richard moved to Utah and became a real estate broker until retiring to Idaho. His hobbies were camping and motorcycle riding.

Richard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley, son Brian, and 2 grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero.
