PART 2 OF 2 PARTS

The PGR has been invited by Honor Flight Southland to attend their next event to honor another group of special Veterans to visit the memorials built in their honor in Washington DC.

On 15 Sept 2023, this group of veterans traveled to Washington DC for an all-expense paid trip to celebrate their contribution to our freedom and to thank them for their sacrifice.

On 17 Sept 2023, this same group will return from their trip to Washington DC .  We will form a flag line at the baggage terminal to welcome them home and to help with luggage, if needed.

Again, this is our chance to thank these Heroes in person, shake their hand, and let them know how much they mean to us.  They are American Heroes, living history.  Please bring your smiles, your hand shakes, your hugs, and your flags!

NOTE:  OVER 200,000 VETS HAVE BEEN SENT TO DC SINCE HONOR FLIGHT SOUTHLAND INCEPTION.

PARKING UPDATE:  The USO has parking available.  However, if you are on a motorcycle, motorcycles can park free in the terminal parking for Southwest Airlines.  Just park at USO and walk over to Terminal 1.

TIMETABLE FOR SUNDAY, 17 Sept 2023

1500 – Stage at SOUTHWEST TERMINAL 1 ARRIVAL parking lot (noted in update above).

1515 – Mission briefing.

1530 – Short walk to departure terminal Southwest Airlines.

1545– Prepare for flag line for Heroes as they arrive and assist with luggage as needed.
