The family of Robert Lee Harris Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one and our hero as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Robert was born in New Orleans, LA on 30 April 1939 and entered into Eternal Rest on 26 December 2018.

Our hero enlisted in the US Army 24 April 1958 and was honorably discharged on 21 Jul 1962 at the rank of Private First Class. He served with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam when they were  there as advisers. Following his tour in Vietnam he served in West Germany.

After serving his country he began a career in entertainment as a singer, touring with the iconic group, The Drifters. When family needs required he left the life on the road, and then started a career as a construction framer. This continued for 25 years, until he received another calling.

In 1990 Robert was ordained as a minister and served the Lord until he was called home in December.

For his own entertainment he enjoyed his Saturdays watching his USC Trojan football, singing and fishing.

Our hero is survived by his lovely and loving wife, Donna and his seven children. Robert Lee Jr., Tegra, Mark, Trina, Robert Eugene, Damon, and Chris. His memory and legacy lives on within the hearts of his 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The Harris family and friends are arriving with our Hero's coach at this rendezvous point from his Celebration of Life in Simi Valley and we are honored to accompany Robert Lee Harris Sr., on this last leg of their journey to his committal at Riverside National Cemetery.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the staging location to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
