The family of Ronald Sanchez Jr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Ronald was born on 18 July 1975 and entered into Eternal Rest on 11 May 2019.

Ronald joined the US Army on 26 April 1995 and served until 12 December 2011. During his service, Ronald was trained as a Combat Engineer, and was deployed to Iraq four times. He was also stationed in Korea and Germany.  Some of the many awards Ronald earned include the Iraq Campaign Medal w/three campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3), National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Badge.  He earned the rank of Specialist 4th Class at the time of his discharge.

There were a number of activities that Ronald loved.  Two of them were biking and hiking.  All of the activities he enjoyed helped him deal with his PTSD.  In Oklahoma he participated on the VA Medical Center Veteran Bicycle Team.  Hiking was a great method of coping with PTSD.  On May 11th, Ronald was hiking on the Appalachian Trail in Virginia making a video to help other PTSD sufferers when he was tragically murdered.

Ronald is survived by his mother Claudia Duncan, step-father Dan Duncan, father Ronald S. Sanchez, sisters Brenda, Jayme, Sarah, brother Christian, and his children Ronnie and Alexis.

NOTE: There is expected to be a large turnout of family and friends.  You have probably heard about our Hero in the news.  If you can make this Mission, please come and support this Hero and his family.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
