The family of LT. Col Richard J Lovelace has requested the Patriot Guard Rides to accompany LT. Col Richard J Lovelace from Eternal Hills Memorial Park located in Oceanside to Miramar National Cemetery. It will be our honor to attend Full Military Honors and then present 13 folds plaque.

LT. Col Richard J. Lovelace served in the United States Marine Corp from 1954-1994, 40 years of active duty. Richard served in many campaigns in Vietnam. He served as a supply officer, disbursing officer, and financial management officer. He had many decorations from the joint meritorious unit award to the good conduct medal w/3 stars, Vietnam w/4stars, and the national defense service medal w/2 stars.

Richard’s cause of death is likely the result of agent orange exposure. He got bladder cancer over 20 years ago. He won that battle but 20 years later he lost the war. Richard is survived by wife Yoshiko, 5 children (Belinda, Teresa, Michael, Marcos and Erriko) and five grandchildren
