The family of Richard Castillo Gonzales, 82, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service of their loved one and to honor this American Hero; we are honored to do so.

Mr. Gonzales dates of service spanned from January 13, 1953 to May 4, 1956.  He was a paratrooper in the 82ndAirborne Division. He was very proud of his service to his country.

In civilian life he worked as a carpenter for over 40 years.  He was in the Knights of Columbus, AMVETS, and VFW.

Richard is survived by his wife Victoria, sons Richard and Ernest, and daughter Lisa.  A brother Joe, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).

Please post your condolences for the family at:
