The family of GySgt William E. Hokama has invited Patriot Guard Riders to attend his services and honor him, and it will be our privilege to do so.

William served in the U. S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Region during the Vietnam War.  He attained the rank of Gunnery Sergeart and then Retired.  Gunnery Sgt Hokama was awarded the Combat Action Ribbion & the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Oak Clusters, he served from 1952 to 1972 in North Carolina, Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Vietnam and Camp Pendletion. 

In civilian life he lived in Oceanside, CA for 48 years and passed at the age of 82.  William is survived by his wife of 52 years (Kiyoko), his siblings (Celine Asato (Kenneth), (Sybil Higuchi (David), Kenneth Hokama (Toshiko), Nancy Minuth, and many nieces, nephews and extended family and his dog Sakura.

We will meet at Eternal Hills Cemetery and do a flagline, then accompany Gunny Hokama to his church for a flagline and after services stand a flagline then accompany him back to the Cemetery for a flagline and Final Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please ride/drive safely.
