The family of Robert Gourlay has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Robert was born on 27 July 1950 in Fontana, California and entered into eternal rest 17 March 2017. 

Robert entered the Marine Corp 4 July 1968 and was Honorably Discharged 26 February 1970. Robert served in Vietnam and received the following Campaign Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnamese Campaign Medal with device.

Robert worked at Kaiser Steel, Reserve Deputy and Member of San Bernadino County Sheriff Department Mounted Posse.
Roberts Hobbies were shooting, Horse back riding, Boating, Harley Motorcycle riding and Fishing

Robert is survived by his wife Miche, beloved K9 Mugsy, two brothers William and Ed, two sons, first Son Robert T Gourlay, his wife Kathy and their two children Robert and Meagan. Second son, Eric F Gourlay, his wife Heather, and their three children Kimberlee, Erika and Cody.

This is a Service related death and Dog tags will be available!

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

10:15 - Flag Line for dignified transfer of Hero to the Vehicle

11:30 - Est time of arrival at RNC Staging area 4 at this time for family but subject to change. PGR staging at area 8.
11:45 - KSU to Shelter for flag line and Military Honors for our Hero!

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
