UPDATE/DAY & TIME CHANGE!!! FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED FOR 14 SEP/RESCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW 15 SEP - SEE NEW TIME TABLE BELOW !!!

The family and the US Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the departure of Sgt David Cavanaugh as he is transported to his family in Florida.  We will be honored to do so.

Sgt David Cavanaugh served proudly with the US Marine Corps at MCAGCC base in Twentynine Palms, CA.  He sadly passed away on Sept 7.  He served in the Marine Corps for several years and had many deployments he served bravely.

Our mission here in So California will consist of accompanying the Hero to LAX for departure to his family in Florida, the PGR in Florida has been notified of his arrival there.

VERY IMPORTANT: The distance of this accompany is 141 miles, we will not be making any stops, please plan accordingly


NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the airport. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the airport, we will meet you there.

This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
