The family of MS1 Maximo “Max” Rondael has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Maximo Magno Rondael, 85, served honorably for 20 years in the US Navy, time that included duty in Vietnam.  At the time of his discharge he had attained the rank of (MS1) Mess Attendant Specialist Petty Officer First Class (E-6).

For his service MS1 Rondael was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and 5 good conduct awards.  His last duty station was Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, CA.

In his post military career Max worked for the US Postal Service for 20 years.  He is survived by his wife, his 2 daughters and his son.

The family has requested a flag line at the mortuary, an accompaniment to Miramar National Cemetery and a flag line during the committal service as this hero receives his final honors.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
