The family of David Max Brooks, 57, has invited the PGR to participate in honoring his life and service to his country. It will be a privilege to do so.

David was born on August 2, 1963 and passed away at the young age of 57 on May 19, 2021 from heart failure.

David served in the U.S. Navy from April 7, 1986 to April 6, 1990.  He served aboard the U.S.S. Lexington in Pensacola, Florida as Boatswain Mate 2nd Class.  He was the lead Petty Officer in charge of the life boats as well as the safety officer.  He was awarded a Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal when he and a few others boarded a foreign ship that was not properly tied down and stopped it from causing too much damage to other ships moored there. He was also awarded the Coast Guard SOS Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal.

After his service, David worked for 16 years at Parco, Inc as a Lab Technician until his stroke on September 7, 2016.  Dave loved music.  He loved going to concerts, playing his bass guitar, and writing songs.  He also loved to share his faith in Jesus with others.

David is survived by his spouse Terri Brooks, his mother Gladys Prebehalla, his brother Scott Brooks, and his sister Lisa Hernandez.
