We have been invited by the family of Robert "Bob"  E. Crandall to participate in his memorial on Sunday Oct.. 23rd 2016. It will be a privilege to do so.
 
Bob served in the US Army from 1970  to 1972. A Vietnam veteran, Bob served with the 101st Airborne. He was awarded several medals including: Purple Heart; National Defense Service; Vietnam Service; CIB; Sharp Shooter; Vietnam Campaign.
At 6'7" & 200 lbs. he was known to carry his fully loaded M60 at the ready, while wading across rice paddies.
 
After his service Bob became a motorcycle police officer and ultimately retired as a Lieutenant with the Santa Maria Police Department. He was involved in many programs during his carreer but was most passionate about the Explorer and Motorcycle Safety programs he led. He developed and taught the Motorcycle Safety program at Allan Hancock College.
 
A memorial ride and service will be held for Bob on Sunday Oct. 23 in Santa Maria CA.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).
