The family of William J. Murray, 89, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the accompaniment and services of their loved one and to honor this American Hero; we are honored to do so.

Mr. Murray served in the United States Army on active duty from May 1951 to April 1953 and in the reserves from 1953 to 1958. He was awarded the Korean Service medal, Bronze Service Star, United Nations Service medal, Presidential Unit Citation and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.
 
After his service William worked for Kaiser Steel for 33 yrs and owned a realty company for 28 yrs. He enjoyed leather & woodworking, hunting, fishing and camping.
 
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorene and children Sandra, Lisa, Robert and David.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the funeral services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

NOTE: Please arrive quietly at Arlington Mortuary as service will be in progress.

1100 - Flag line after service for dignified transfer of Hero to coach.

1200 - Est arrival at RNC.

1230 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, Service and Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely
