The family of Jesse Manuel Grijalva has invited the Patriot Guard to join them asthey honor their hero. We are honored to do so.

Jesse served as a Transportation Specialist in the US Army for two years which included one year in Vietnam. While serving, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. While his death was not combat related, he did suffer from the effects of PTSD most of his civilian life.

As a civilian, Jesse worked and retired from the National Quarter Horse Association as an armed guard. He is survived by his only daughter, Melissa Grijalve-Aronson, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His only son, Jesse Grijalva, Jr., preceded him in death eleven years ago.
