The family of Arthur Gaitan Jr. has Invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his services and military honors. We are honored to do so.

Arthur served his country in the US Army from March 1970 until his honorable discharge January 1972. Arthur attained the rank of Specialist 4 while serving as a engineer in transportation.  He served in Vietnam from May of 1971 to Jan of 1972 with A Company, 5th Battalion, 1st Brigade.

Arthur was born in Los Angeles , June 7 1950 and graduated from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera in 1968.Our hero was very Patriotic and proud of being a Vietnam Veteran. He loved the American Flag and displaying his Army unit patches. Arthur was known as EL Chicano, he loved his music and traveling to Vegas. 

After the military Arthur Started off as a Class A truck driver after for around 5-7 yrs, and ended his work career with T.S.A in Ontario California until retirement. Hobbies of interest included working on cars, always offering help to others any way he could, spending time with his family.

Our hero leaves behind his wife Terry, sons Anthony, Manuel, and Art and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Selena and parents.

Spec 4 Gaitan is a victim of Agent Orange, this is a COMBAT RELATED MISSION there will be Dog Tags.


NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary services to his final resting place, approximately 64 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

1130 - Flag Line for dignified transfer of Hero from Chapel to coach

1300 - ETA at RNC (Staging area #3 for family, staging area 8 for PGR)

1330 - KSU to assigned shelter for Flag Line, Service with full Military Honors

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
