The family of Nolan Hubbs has ask the Patriot Guard to be present to honor this WWII hero on his final assignment. We are honored to do so.

Nolan was born in 1917. He joined the U S Navy in October, 1940. He served mostly in the Pacific Theater and participated in many operations including the Philippine Liberation. He reached the rank of Storekeeper 1ST Class and was honorably discharged in December, 1946.  Among the awards he received while on duty are: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign w/15 stars, American Area, American Defense w/star, Good Conduct w/star, Philippine Liberation w/2 stars, Navy Unit Commendation, and the American Theater Ribbon

For the remainder of his life he worked as a truck driver, retiring in his early 70's. He enjoyed his cats and dogs, was active in the Teamsters Union, active in his political party and in later years, attended the USS Portland Naval Reunions.

Nolan was the 2nd of 12 children and is survived by his siblings Helen, Bruce, Wylie and Wanda. He is also survived by son Patrick and granddaughter Leilani Ann.

NOTE:This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
