The family of 1stSgt James Michael Loiselle has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

1stSgt Loiselle proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years, time that included duty in Operation Desert Storm.  He retired at the rank of First Sergeant (E-8).  For his service, 1stSgt Loiselle earned the Overseas Service Ribbon, 3 Meritorious Masts, 5 Good Conduct Medals, Letter of Appreciation, 2 Navy Unit Commendations, 2 Navy Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Jim loved to ride his motorcycle, and he also loved fishing, hunting, and shooting.  He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, American Legion Riders Post 146 Oceanside, and the Veterans Association of North County.

This is a Combat Related Mission, as Jim passed after a long battle with a Combat Related illness.  Therefore, there will be dog tags for this mission.

Jim is survived by his wife Selina, sons Michael and Kyle, daughter Alisa Vitt, his mother Donna Pickard, his father Steve, and five brothers.

The family has requested an accompaniment from the family home in Murrieta to Miramar National Cemetery, a distance of approximately 60 miles.  Due to this distance, please ensure you arrive with a full gas tank, and are appropriately prepared for an approximately 90 minute ride.  Also, be prepared for hot weather.

0740 – Dignified flag line as the hero is transferred to the family vehicle.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
