The family of Lieutenant Walter Donald Scott has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Walter Donald Scott., 93, joined the US Army Air Corp in 1940 and served our country until 1957. While in the Army Air Corps and eventually the US Air Force, Walter was a pilot and flew such aircraft as the P38, P51, P80 and the F84. He was involved with the Berlin Airlift.

After his military service, Lt. Scott continued his flying interests and flew commercial for Kaiser Aluminum Magnesium from 1958 until 1960 and Slick Airways from 1960 until 1967. He was a pioneer pilot for Air California from 1967 until 1983. He was rated on the L188, B 737, and DC 9-80. He eventually retired with 27000hrs.

Walter is survived by two sons.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and family from the staging area to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
