The family of Lanny Joseph Jacquot has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Lanny “Jake” Jacquot, 77, proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1962. While in the Air Force he served as a military police officer (K-9 unit) in Madrid, Spain.  At the time of his honorable discharge, he had attained the rank of A3C, Airman 3rd Class.

After leaving the Air Force he worked in law enforcement for 35 years, first as a National City Police Officer from 1966-1982, then as a Deputy Sheriff until he retired in 2002.

Jake's hobbies were old airplanes & motorcycles. He was also a history buff, and loved reading old western novels.

Jake is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine, sons Robert, Kenneth, & Michael, and his 6 grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero from the Elks Lodge in El Cajon to Singing Hills Memorial Park.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.  For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
