The family of Jerry A. Goeke, age 73, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero at his funeral service, we will be honored to do so.

Jerry A. Goeke graduated from Bell Gardens High School in 1963, attended trade school for two years, then enlisted in the US Air Force in 1965. He served from 1965 to 1969, including service in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant, and served another 2 years in USAF Reserves.

After the military he went to work for Pacific Bell where he worked for 35 years until retirement.  He and his wife Donna devoted their lives to children, they were foster parents to 36 children over the years, helping to provide love and a secure environment to children in need.

They adopted a few of these children themselves.  They were exemplary citizens and great role models for all the children.  Jerry was a loving family man, hard working, honest, loved his wife, was selfless, and the best Sunday pancake maker. His daughter says he was our angel on earth, he earned his wings and became an Angel in Heaven when he passed.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Donna, children Christopher, Ryan, Victor, Elizabeth, Toni, Michelle, and 9 grandchildren.
