The California Highway Patrol and family of Officer Andre M. Moye Jr. invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their loved one's funeral services. We are honored to accept this invitation.

Officer Moye had and fulfilled his dream and completed 27 weeks of extensive training, graduating the California Highway Patrol Academy in March 2017. Officer Moye was assigned to the Highway Patrol Riverside Office.

On 12 AUG 19, at approximately 1730 hrs, Officer Moye conducted a traffic stop of a pick up truck for expired vehicle registration and unlawfully driving in the carpool lane. After interviewing the driver, Officer Moye concluded the truck should be impounded. As Officer Moye was completing the impound report the driver entered the truck and retrieved a rifle and shot Officer Moye. Officer Moye, critically wounded, was able to request assistance via his police radio. Responding officers engaged and killed the suspect. Two of the responding Highway Patrol officers were wounded during the fierce gun battle. Officer Moye was airlifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officer Moye is survived by his loving wife, Sara, his parents, stepfather, two sisters and two brothers.

Note: This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Law Enforcement Officer. For those interested all are welcome.
