Monrovia Historical Museum WWII Exhibit - 27 APR 14
« on: April 24, 2014, 05:31:00 AM »
The city of Monrovia has learned of the Patriot Guard and wants to play a part in introducing us to the Community and letting them know what we do. This is not a mission just an event that will take place on the 27th of April. It will be from 1PM to 4PM on  Sunday April 27th. We will just be there to answer any questions that the community might have for us, or about us. The public knows of us but I think the majority of them do not know what we do or how to get a hold of us.

Here is the letter from the curator:

Attached is an announcement (see link below) regarding the Museum's latest exhibit, Monrovia On the Home Front.  The history of Monrovian's during WWII is an example of how the Great War was fought not only on the battlefield, but at home as well.  Never in American history have so many united for a single purpose.

Come join us for the grand opening celebration to be held on April 27, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00.  Members of the Monrovia VFW, Monrovia American Legion, the Patriot Guard and special guest Beverly Beesemyer, a WWII WASP pilot, will be among the many in attendance.  Bring your stories and your cameras!

We will stage at location below and enter the Museum and check things out. There will be a designated place for us to park on the quad so everyone can see our bikes. We don't need to stay in one place. Feel free to wander around and enjoy the exhibits. It is a time for us to just wind down, and check out displays and talk with other PGR members we haven't seen for a while.

This event is to introduce the public to an event to celebrate our American Heroes from first responders to Military Veterans. The city wants to let everyone know that Hero's still live in and around the community of Monrovia , and to bring to the fore front the ultimate price that has been paid.

Feel free to pass this on and to let anyone know that would be interested in attending. Tell him you received announcement from Mike Courtright "Joker" that way he will know how you found out about this.
