SHORT NOTICE / URGENT!!!

The United States Marine Corps and the family of LCPL Joshua Crain have requested the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their Hero from the mortuary to the airport as he is returned home to his family in Florida.  It will be our privilege to do so.

United States Marine Lance Corporal Joshua D. Crain, born in Pensacola, Florida, on April 16, 2003 and passed away near Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California on June 18, 2023 due to a motorcycle accident.

Joshua graduated from Air Traffic Control School in Pensacola, FL under the command of Captain CAI.  Joshua attended bootcamp at Paris Island on April 21, 2022, graduating with the 4th Battalion PAPA Co 4038 on July 21, 2022.  He proceeded to MTC at Camp Geiger.  April 2021- Dec 2022, Joshua attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL participating in the PLC Program and Band (Piano).  Joshua attended Marine Military Academy in the summer of 2017.  He had his heart set on being a marine from a young age.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Tracy Crain; his sister, Abigail Crain; his grandparents, Delmos and Greta Figel; and his closest friends, Chad Merritt and LCPL Brayden Allen, among many other fellow Marines and friends that he cherished.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the mortuary to the airport.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
