The family of Brandon Hartsock has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to our country. It will be our privilege to do so.

Brandon was born on 08/08/1988 (great birthday date).  He passed away on 07/02/2021 at the age of 32 due to unknown causes.  He joined the Marine Corps on 05/02/11 and discharged 05/01/2015.  He rose to the rank of SGT E-5.  He fought in the “War on Terror.”

After leaving the Marine Corps he went to work for the WD-40 Company. He worked as a Logistics Process Analyst. He did the same job in the Marine Corps as with the WD-40 Company.

His hobbies were motorcycles; he was an aggressive mountain biker. He loved rock climbing, and it is said that he was a very lucky fisherman.

He is survived by his father Bill; mother, Kimberly; brothers Ryan and Andrew, and sister, Megan.

The family is asking for the PGR to do a flag line at the Seacoast Community Church.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, this is a flag line only mission at the church.  For those who would like to participate, please see the timetable and we will meet you there.

Please observe any Covid-19 restrictions, if any.

TIMETABLE FOR SAT, 17 JULY 2021

1145 – Stage at the Seacoast Community Church, 1050 Regal Road, Encinitas, CA 92024.  We’ll meet in the north parking lot, on the right.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
