The 8th annual Ride to the Flags is a September 11th memorial ride in memory of all the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. This year’s ride will be on Sunday, September 13, 2015. We will ride from Point Mugu Naval Air Station to Pepperdine University where there is a field of color with flags for every innocent life lost that fateful day. There will be a “Celebration of Freedom” at Bluffs Park, across PCH from Pepperdine, after the ride.

We have a great ceremony at Point Mugu NAS put together by the United States Navy.

Trikes and bikes travel together in the mass formation led by the LA Sheriff Memorial Cruisers and our man of the hour, Cpl. Kyle Moser. Past honorees from the last three years, SFC Cory Remsbury,  Sgt. James Carey and Cpl. Jed Morgan will also be along for the ride.

Don’t forget your flags, your patriotism, and your smiles as you meet and thank our honoree as well as past honorees at this one of a kind event.

We will be asking all participants to help in this year’s flag line for the presentation of colors at Naval Base Ventura (Point Mugu NAS), so please bring your flags.

NOTE: Everyone that wants to enter the Naval Base must register on the White Heart Foundation
website (www.ridetotheflags.com), or at the gate, due to security requirements.

Each Motorcycle rider should have registration and proof of liability insurance. You should also wear hard soled shoes, long pants, full fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection and a DOT approved helmet. A brightly colored vest is no longer required, but is recommended. Have your ID ready when you arrive at the gate.

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in this event. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be riding from Pt. Mugu NAS to Pepperdine University. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. The ride is for bikes and trikes only-sorry no cages. However, there will be dedicated cage parking at Pepperdine for anyone driving to Pepperdine on their own.
