The family of Jacobo Antonio (Anthony) Longoria has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their loved one at his final service.  We are honored to accept this invitation.

Anthony was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 16, 1982. He moved with his family to Ridgecrest in 1986 where he attended the local elementary and middle schools. He was a 2000 graduate of Burroughs High School.

Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 2001-2005 during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom as an Operations Specialist 3rd Class.

After his service, he made his home in Ridgecrest where he supported the China Lake ranges and the Range Control Center from 2007-2016. After his time on the ranges, he decided to attend the University of Phoenix to pursue a degree in Business while concentrating on his MMA and Jiu-Jitsu training. He had fought in several amateur fight promotions and was looking forward to making his pro debut. He was a 2 promotion champion holding the 559 Fights Welter Weight Belt as well as the Hoplite Fights Welter Weight Belt.

Anthony is survived by his son, Lucas Longoria, mother and step-father Diane and Skip Williams, father and step-mother Arnold and Julia Longoria. Sister Laura Bradley (Sean Bradley), Brother Joshua Longoria (Kiersten Burns). Nephews Damon Bradley, Jody Mayhugh and Gabriel Tavares. Nieces Lilly Tavares and Aleah Albright. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his grandparents.

There will be a church service held on Saturday November 5th, 10:00am at the All Faith Chapel located at the Naval Air Weapons Center. We will stage at Holland & Lyon’s Mortuary at 0800. There will be a short brief and flag line as we transfer our hero to the coach and depart at 0845 to the All Faith Chapel on the base. We will transfer Anthony back to Holland & Lyon’s after the service.  If you plan on going on the base wear appropriate riding gear for military base.

On Monday 7 Nov, Anthony will be transported from Holland & Lyon’s Mortuary to Bakersfield National Cemetery (BNC) for full Military Honors at 1230.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
