The family of Dennis Mallen has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders, to Honor their loved one and Hero. It will be our Honor to do so.

Dennis served in the Army National Guard in the early 60s and the Marines around 1972. He loved serving, even if he was just in the Reserves. He served stateside at both
Fort Ord and Camp Pendleton. While in the first hitch he was a vehicle mechanic and in the second he served in heavy artillery.

In Civilian Life he was a Grading Contractor. He was a big military history buff and a big reader in general. One of his favorite people to read about was Carlos Hathcock, the sniper.  He was one of 12 kids from a large Irish-Catholic family. His wife Gloria , passed away in 1989. During his marriage, he and Gloria had a daughter named Melissa.

Only 2 defining forces offered to die for you:
Jesus Christ, and the American Soldier:
One died for your soul, the other one died for your freedom.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
